Unconventional tools, when the old systems no longer work
Conscious Living & Leadership Newsletter
Every month, you have the opportunity to participate in a Radical Collaboration webinar. Here, you will learn how little it actually takes to improve collaboration.
It is interesting to become aware of how honest you are, with yourself and with others, and to notice when you hold back or censor yourself. We all do this, often because honesty has consequences.
I see facing those consequences as taking full responsibility for our own choices, even when our choices conflict with others' expectations.
The path to get there is rarely easy. We are so used to the structures we have grown up with, and we have learned to adapt rather than listen to our inner voice.
Today, I am sharing a video about how, with the help of unconventional tools, I have come into deeper contact with what I intuitively know, and how I follow what is true for me.
See how I work with intuition and responsibility in practice:

Everything I do is about strengthening your connection with yourself and with others. If you feel that this is something you need, come and practise listening to yourself with me.

Human Power Lab!
A week ago, we had another Human Power Lab Workshop.
This time, you explored your defence mechanisms and created an action plan for how to deal with them when they arise. It was a good reminder to look at defence mechanisms again, even though you also did this during the Radical Collaboration course. We agreed that this is something we need to revisit, while also inspiring each other to find more constructive ways to deal with them.
We did not have time to go into depth on the underlying causes this time, but understanding why something triggers you can be the key to resolving it and becoming even more effective in collaboration. It always starts with awareness. The next step is to deal with what you have become aware of in the situation itself.

The image shows a small selection of typical defensive reactions.
- Do you recognise yourself any of these?
- Think about what steps you want to take to regain control when you realise that you are becoming defensive.
At the next and final workshop this autumn, we will look at what organisations need to function better. We will explore self-confidence, self-image and practical tools you can use in your everyday life.
If you would like an introduction to the topics we cover in the Lab, you are welcome to participate in our next Radical Collaboration Webinar.
