What happens in you when something feels off?
Conscious Living & Leadership Newsletter
Have you ever felt inner friction without really knowing why? A sense of being slightly out of rhythm, even when nothing is “wrong” on the outside?
I had one of those moments recently. I was in a meeting and noticed that I was holding back, not in what I said, but in my body.
Afterwards, when I landed more in myself, I saw something clearly:
"This is not about the other person. This is about me."
For me, this has become a practice. To stay curious about what my meetings with people are trying to teach me. When I feel friction now, I see it as a reminder to pause, check in and be honest:
What am I holding back from myself right now?
Do you need a check-in?
Here is a simple exercise I use when something does not feel quite right.
1. Take a short pause (30 seconds)
Bring all your attention to your body.
Notice what is happening there.
2. Talk to the body
Where you feel tension, stress or tightness, stay with it.
Observe it and ask: “What are you trying to tell me right now?”
Wait for the answer.
3. Become aware and accept
Be radically honest with yourself.
Do not judge, push away or explain it away.
Simply notice it, accept it and let it be there.
The point is not to be perfect. The point is to become more conscious. This is a small practice that helps you connect and listen to yourself.
Why I moved from technology to people
If you recognise yourself in this small inner journey, you may appreciate this video. The video is in Norwegian, but you can use auto–generated captions in your preferred language.
Here is the essence of what I share:
- Why I left the world of technology
- Why people and inner work matter so much to me
- How this became the start of Conscious Living & Leadership
- and how I listen to the signals of the body

Next Intuition Workout
In December, I am hosting Intuition Workout, a small online group where we train together on:
- inner safety
- hearing our own voice
- making choices with calm and clarity
If this touches something in you, and you would like to join my upcoming English session in January, you are welcome to reply to this e-mail and let me know.
Human Power Lab!
I am opening a new round of Human Power Lab in January 2026.
This is a small, in-person program in Oslo for leaders, team leaders, advisers and change agents who want to work more deeply with:
- inner safety
- presence
- conscious leadership
We meet every second month through the spring in half-day sessions. There is room for reflection, practice and development without performance. A space where you can land, explore and strengthen who you are as a human being and as a leader.
If you feel that this speaks to you, you can simply reply to this email, and I will hold a spot for you.
What do you take from this newsletter?
- What does your body want to tell you right now?
- What inside you is growing and needs a little more space and nourishment?
If you feel called to share, you are welcome to reply to this e-mail.
I always read with joy.
See you again soon 💜
Warmly,
Andrea
