Embodied Courage
The Conscious Perspective: Leading with Your Whole Self
Thank you for being here, and happy midsummer ☀️
Last month, I wrote about how hiding can block clarity, while truth and openness build trust.
This month, I am working with the theme of Embodied Courage as a way to challenge myself out of my comfort zone. Over the years, many people have told me they find me courageous. Perhaps that's true. I do try to choose what's important to me, even when I am afraid.
One of my deeper fears is to share more openly the part of me that connects with something beyond logic. At least to a professional community.
But I don't want to hide. I want to bring my whole self into my work. Not to convince anyone, but because I have experienced it. And I cannot unsee or unfeel it, no matter how much I would have wanted to.
I have a strong intuitive connection. I am sensitive to energies. I can sense and experience energy that is not mine. I often receive messages through a sense of knowing or hearing specific words. Some call it mediumship, channelling or working with guides. For me, it feels like being in a dialogue. It is vulnerable for me to share, but it is my experience and my truth.
And I believe I am not alone in this. I believe we all have these capabilities, but we rarely talk about them in professional settings.
I have met incredible mentors, and I continue to learn. If you feel called to explore your own capabilities, I would love to share what I have learned.
This month, I slowed down. I took longer pauses. I created more balance. Less social media, which was so much needed. I will take some more time off.
But before I do, I will be available this Friday at the Circle of Friends Meetup. You are welcome. To ask, to share, or just join me for a coffee chat. I am leaving the agenda open to just connect this time.
Warmly,
Andrea
The Conscious Leader’s Tip of the Month:
Embodied Courage is when you act on what your body tells you. The body communicates clearly when there is something you don't want to do, something that isn't right for you. And when there is something you just have to do, because it feels right, even when you are afraid. You feel the pull.
To feel more connected to your body and let go of any urges to hide parts of yourself, try this out:
- Focus your attention on your breath.
- Imagine you are a dot of light, and now..
- Follow your breath as if you were connected to the top of it, and follow it as it rises and falls. This connects you to your awareness.
- Now that you are aware of where you are in your body, what else do you notice in your body?
You don't need to change anything, just notice, feel it and let it be.
